John Turecki P.Eng

John is the founder of Step One Mobility, with over 13 years of engineering and project management experience in construction, consulting and municipal government. John's experience provides him the skills to navigate complex urban transportation issues, from crafting actionable transportation policies, to mitigating off-site impacts from development, to building consensus between cities and land owners.

John spent six years in the public sector with the City of Vancouver, leading Transportation's development review team and creating Canada's first point based Transportation Demand Management Policy for developments. John also led the City's Transportation Design Branch through engagement, design and implementation of greenways and complete streets. He has also worked as a senior engineer in the City's Major Projects group.

His private sector experience includes transportation assessments and master plans for projects across western Canada as well as conceptual design, parking studies, network modelling and microsimulation.
